報告簡介： Modern scientific applications have generated many data sets of complex nature, such as high dimensionality, heterogeneity and unknown structure of interest. In this talk, I will discuss a few ideas on extending classical statistical methods such as regression, the principal component analysis, expectation maximization, and mixture model, to accommodate challenges in those applications. Theoretical properties, numerical results, and applications in biomedical and imaging studies will be discussed.
報告人簡介📊：沈韡凝，加州大學爾灣分校統計系助理教授👱🏿♀️。 2008年本科畢業於中國科學技術大學少年班，2013年博士畢業於北卡羅來納州立大學統計系。研究方向包括貝葉斯方法，非參數模型🤚🏽，生物統計模型。近幾年論文發表在國際頂級刊物：Nature, Biometrika, Biometrics 等。博士畢業論文獲得2013年度貝葉斯畢業論文最高獎：Leonard J. Savage獎。
